This 24x24" vibrant impressionistic oil painting is inspired by five years of marriage and the anniversary trip I took to celebrate with my husband in the fall of 2025. The trip was met with a record amount of rainfall, and that unforeseen event reminded me how we’ve learned to pivot through unexpected times, to stand by one another when the storms threatened to pull us apart. Both in nature and in life, storms always pass. And when they do, the world feels even more vibrant because of them.
