There are places in this world that feel like pure magic. I’m grateful to have experienced several of them, and Crested Butte, Colorado, is one of those rare places and the inspiration behind this 30x20" vibrant impressionistic original oil painting. The wildflowers stretched as far as the eye could see, the mountains glowed in the first light of morning, and even the air itself seemed alive with color as birds sang a radiant dawn chorus.
 
In these soul-filling moments, often experienced in the great outdoors, I will express to my husband, “It doesn’t get any better than this.” And yet, with every step on that trail, it somehow did. Prompting me to repeat those words again and again as if it were my dawn chorus.
