This 36x18" original oil painting is inspired by my 2018 visit to the Grand Canyon National Park. There, you can witness a rare moment where you can see what time can do to a landscape. You are reminded that you are only a speck of dust in the vastness of this planet. If you are like me, you were left breathless in the quiet due to the immense power of nature. What a gift nature can bring in the humbling of deep silence. 
 
Watching the sun set at the Grand Canyon is another level of awe. There is a whole rainbow of color that develops, not in the sky, but across the ancient landscape. The moment is fleeting, and that is all the more reason I needed to express those feelings on canvas.
