10x20" original oil painting
 
I often look at nature to remind myself that nothing is constant. That everything has its own season to shine. This is the first painting I completed after having major surgery. Upon returning to the studio, I felt ripped apart and left scrambled inside. Much like the drooping flower in this painting's foreground, but I changed the narrative. It is a flower waiting to bloom, and so I, too, am waiting to bloom.
